Top 40 Nachhaltigkeitsindikatoren
Top 40 Ranking der wichtigsten GRI Nachhaltigkeitsindikatoren
Thalwil, 18. November 2015. Welche GRI-Indikatoren sollen Unternehmen und Organisationen in die Nachhaltigkeitsberichte aufnehmen? GRI empfiehlt die Berichterstattung auf die wesentlichen Nachhaltigkeitsaspekte auszurichten. Auch wenn dies für jedes Unternehmen eine letztendlich individuelle Kennzahlenwahl bedeutet, so kann doch über Benchmarking die Mehrzahl der wesentlichen Indikatoren vorselektiert werden. Viele dieser Kennzahlen sind wesentlich dafür, die Vergleichbarkeit mit der Nachhaltigkeitskommunikation anderer Organisationen sicherzustellen, und können darüber hinaus für die meisten Organisationen als an sich selbst wesentlich betrachtet werden.
Die GRI Datenbank ermöglicht ein detailliertes Benchmarking nach Region, Branche und anderen Faktoren. Auch die insgesamt häufigsten GRI G3 und GRI G3.1 Kennzahlen können eruiert werden:
Der am häufigsten verwendete GRI G4 Indikator ist G4-EC1 "Direkter erzeugter und verteilter wirtschaftlicher Wert". An zweiter Stelle folgt der direkte Energieverbrauch G4-EN3. Und an dritter Stelle finden sich die neu in zwei Indikatoren aufgegliederten direkten und indirekten Treibhausgasemissionen (G4-EN15 und G4-EN16).
Die dominanten Aspekte sind "Wirtschaftliche Leistung", "Energie", "Emissionen" sowie "Aus- und Weiterbildung". Auf die GRI Kategorien und Unterkategorien verteilt sich die Berichterstattung wie folgt: "Umwelt" elf Indikatoren, "Wirtschaft" acht, "Arbeit" acht, "Gesellschaft" fünf, "Menschenrechte" vier und "Produkte" ebenfalls vier Indikatoren.

Top 40 Sustainability Indicators
Top 40 Ranking of the Most Important GRI Sustainability Indicators
Thalwil, November 18th, 2015. Which GRI indicators shall companies and organizations include in their sustainability reports? GRI recommends reporting to the material sustainability aspects. Even if individual material indicators are used for every company, a majority of the KPI's can be pre-selected via benchmarking. Many of these indicators are material for ensuring the comparability of sustainability communication with other organizations, and can be regarded as material for most organizations.
The GRI database provides a detailed benchmarking according to region, sector and other factors. The most common GRI G3 and GRI G3.1 indicators can be determined:
The most frequently used GRI G4 indicator is G4-EC1 "Directly generated and distributed economic value." This is followed by direct energy consumption G4 EN3. And thirdly, the directly and indirectly emitted greenhouse gases in two indicators (EN15-G4 and G4-EN16).
The dominant aspects are "Economic Performance", "Energy", "Emissions" as well as "Training and education". GRI categories and sub-categories are reported as follows: "Environment" eleven indicators, "Economic" eight , "Labor" eight, "Company" five, "Human Rights" four and "Products" also four indicators.
